RETURNING TO THE HOMELAND

Oh the Homeland - beautiful fields for as far as the eye can see!
The Wandzuras have returned to Saskatchewan!
We had an amazing 2 week holiday!!
Cruisin' on the 4-wheelers at Grampa's farm

Floating in a dingy at the lake

JAVEN'S 1-YEAR OLD BIRTHDAY PARTY!
(yes, we had it in August...shhh...don't tell him)

Happy Birthday Little Javey!

Here is Great Grampa celebrating
with little Javen (right before bedtime)

Mazy loved all the "yeyow feeyowers"

Mom and Mazy taking a spin.
She kept yelling, "Faster, Mama, faster!"

Javen and Mom picking some Saskatoon berries
(a trip to Saskatoon would not be complete without!).
I could not pick them fast enough
to keep up with his little mouth!
Chris convinced Mazy to ride bare back on Magic.
(This picture was taken right before Magic bit Mazy)

Father-son waking boarding lessons

Here is Mazy running in the tall grass fields

Javey sat for 20 minutes
while we cruised around the farm!

Mazy loved driving the boat in circles with Dad
- she felt very safe in his arms!

GOOD OL' PRAIRIE FOLK

Here are Grampa and Grama with 6 of their Grandchildren!!
Here are Javen and Grampa enjoying some good farm time!

Two very pretty ladies!

Amazia and Javen are visiting Baba and Auntie Marie

Mazy is getting her first haircut
at Auntie Leah's hair salon, Beaners.
It went very well!
Auntie Leah took Mazy to the zoo, too!

Lucas took such great care of little Mazy;
he is an awesome big cousin!
Here is Javey trying out Grampa's new motorbike

Hockey star (drafted to WHL!!), Cousin Andrew,
spending time with little Javen!
Lucas and Mazy did everything together!

Here is Andrew patiently letting Mazy
put the wrong pieces together.

Lucas made little chairs for his little cousins.
Javen looks like a little dwarf next to Lucas!

Amazia loved the ABC puzzle,
but not as much as she loved Gorilla!
(her name for Grampa)
Here is Mazy and Toryn bouncing on the airplane!
After Mazy got over having to sit in the back,
she had a blast!!
Uncle Blair teaching the Good Book to little Javey!
You are such a good influence on our kids, Blair!

SPECIAL OCCASIONS

Here are the WANDZURAS at Mitch & Dana's Wedding
The boys

The girls

Here are Amazia and Javen as flower girl and ring bearer in our friends' wedding. Mazy pushed Javey down the aisle in this car - they both did soooo great! We were proud parents!

Here is Amazia getting her hair done for one of the weddings. Try to get a 2-year old to sit still for 20 minutes is quite a task!! She did great after a few tears!

A TIME FOR CHANGE

Amazia and Javen have grown up so much in the month of July! Javen can walk now and wobbles around the house. Mazy can spell her name and loves to play "school." They both get excited for music, animals, slides, pools and ice cream.

Mazy now likes to teach everything to Javen;
she has really taken this "big sister" thing seriously.
She really does think she is the boss.

Amazia has now decided that she is a princess;
she was a flower girl in our good friends' wedding.

On July 5th, 2009, we wished Javen HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Here he is on his 12 month milestone.
He is no longer a baby!!

The kids have soaked up a little summer sun
as they have their G'Pa's dark skin colour!
People always ask if the kids were on a
vacation somewhere, so I just tell them that
kids are half price at the tanning beds.

Javen now gets sooo excited for animals
Here he is at the zoo...he LOVES it there!

Mazy loves her new Sharing Castle (swing set).
Here she is on her "No Whining Swing."
She was pretty proud of herself to be wearing that bandaid
- she only gets one when there is blood!
Every time we turn around in the van,
Javen gives us this big grin!

THE SUMMER IS FAMILY TIME!!

July means that Dad is home and the family is together everyday for the next 9 weeks...did I mention that we love being teachers?!!
We spent every moment with the kids while they were awake!
There was lots of guy bonding time!
Watching boats together at the river

Javey was a little tuckered out during one of our hikes.

This is us after we did the Grouse Grind with the kids on our backs. We did ask ourselves a few times why we did this!

We also hiked on the Fort-to-Fort Trail

Our White Rock visit was fun as we caught crabs and made sand castles. With kids, you get to do all the fun things again!!
